BEARDY (NOT BIRDY)

The new voice from England is called Beardy. Not Birdy. He and Melvin are one of a kind. Beardyman mentions the Big Johann Sebastian as an inspiration because he could improvise a six part fugue with two hands and one brain. That's the first coincidence, because Melvin worships Bach. Beardyman longs for a trip to Japan, since he has heard the sushi is very good. Can you believe it: Melvin also likes fish. And finally, Beardyman does an awesome robot voice, which, as I professed elsewhere, turns me on insanely. See? We're brothers.
Enough bla bla about music now, we need some BEAT. Please submit your speakers to the mighty Darren Foreman (1982), whose vocal cords know no limits. This voice is free like a beard.

SCHWALBE ULTREMO R.1: 2563 KMS

While you missed Melvin for almost a month, he WAS thinking of you. He even went so far as risking his life (OK let's not get too dramatic: his looks) to give you the exact number of kilometers a 2011 Schwalbe Ultremo R.1 tire will hold up under a 75kg cyclist: 2563!
This year they run the ZX of course, which sheds 40 grams, is supposedly 15% faster and has better puncture protection. Can't comment on those rubbers as I've opted for Conti 4000s for a change, but quite liked the Ultremo's: they're fast, look great and I never had a flat. Even with the wear (I had two of these) pictured above.

NO NO, YES YES

Friends! I'm sorry to have kept you waiting in the Bikes, Beats and Bits department. But there is an excuse. I mean reason. I am preparing a Melvin Makeover which will probably result in two blogs. One focussed on bikes, one on music. Not complety sure yet, so what could I better treat you on than the Gainsbourg Gonzo gem called: 'No No, Yes Yes'. People should make up their minds more quickly! Serge, Jane AND Melvin.
